QFA president visits team ahead of FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland
PRESIDENT of the Qatar Football Federation (QFA), Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al Thani, attended the national U-20 national team training ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland. The tournament will kick of on May 23 until June 15.
His presence at the training session was to motivate the players and to oversee their preparation. During the visit, the president expressed his confidence in the team’s abilities.
The youth team had a training camp in France during which they played a friendly against Auben of Belgium, which they won 3-2, before leaving for Poland to continue their preparations under the leadership of Portuguese coach Bruno Miguel.
Qatar are in Group D in the World Cup with Ukraine, Nigeria and the United States and will play in the city of Teche. On May 24, Annabi will open against Nigeria, followed by Ukraine on May 27 and the United States on May 30.
