Westin Doha hosts iftar for children and special needs students

ON the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa recently hosted an iftar for children and students with special needs from Al Shafallah and Aamal Center for Special Needs. This came as part of its contributi­on to the ‘Save the Dream Global Pact for Sports’.

The iftar, held at The Westin’s Ramadan tent, saw the attendance of around 25 children, ambassador­s, members of the press, social media influencer­s, delegates from sports entities, and representa­tives from the hotel and Save The Dream.

Ammar Samad, hotel manager at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, said: “For the second year in a row, we are pleased to be part of this significan­t initiative and we are extremely proud to support Save the Dream and share with them the Spirit of Ramadan.”

He added: “We are part of the community and are committed to supporting children with special needs not just during Ramadan but throughout the year. Our collaborat­ion with Save the Dream is an opportunit­y to remind people of the importance of sports and its positive influence to bring peace and joy among all children.”

Massimilia­no Montanari, executive director of Save the Dream, said: “On behalf of Save the Dream, I wish to thank The Westin Doha for hosting us today and for being a committed member of our Global Pact for Sport. It is a great opportunit­y for us to be here with so many amazing children and to share iftar with them; they give us inspiratio­n and strengthen our motivation to continue our work at the service of sport and its values.”
