We must continue to engage in open debate and dialogue to ensure the interchange of ideas with the commitment to achieving a peaceful and sustainable world. I am sure that the launch of this report will only serve to encourage such debate.”

Finlay commented, “Next year’s UN 75 Summit provides a unique opportunity to refine the tools of global governance to better meet the evolving challenges of our time. This report provides practical starting points for the international community to not only better understand the need for enhanced cooperation across government, industry and civil society, but to take meaningful action and ensure that we are better equipped to resolve conflicts peacefully, to address the effects of a changing climate, and to better manage cross border economic shocks when they occur.”

The report is available on the home page of the Doha Forum website: www.dohaforum.org.

The Concordia Annual Summit, which takes place in New York between September 22 and 24, is the largest and most inclusive non-partisan forum in the world, and this year it runs alongside the UN General Assembly.
