‘With QR22.7bn bugdet, Qatar gives importance to health sector’
The Qatar Chamber Health Committee cooperates with all concerned bodies connected to the medical sector with the aim of facilitating procedures for establishing business in the private healthcare sector

QATAR Chamber (QC) Board of Directors member and President of Health Committee Ibtihajal Ahmadani has stressed the importance attached to the health sector in Qatar, noting that the State allocated QR22.7bn for the sector, representing 11 percent of the total expenditure, in its budget for 2019.
This came during her speech delivered at the opening of The International Conference of Aesthetic Dentistry, Laser and Dental Implants iLED 2019 on Friday.
Organised for the first time in Qatar, the event was held under the patronage of Director of Public Health HE Sheikh Dr Mohammed bin Hamad bin J. al Thani.
Ahmadani said the current year saw the launch of Dental Medicine College, Qatar University’s tenth college to provide distinguished dentists for Qatar.
Besides, the major projects to improve healthcare services included expansions of Hamad Medical Corporation facilities, national laboratories as well as the establishment of new health centres in the country, she pointed out.
Ahmadani also stressed the role played by the chamber in developing the healthcare sector in the country, noting that it sought to enhance cooperation with concerned bodies to discuss issues related to the sector and remove all obstacles facing its development.
She also elaborated on the role played by the QC Health Committee in encouraging the private sector to invest in the medical sector with the aim to develop it in line with the National ision 2030.

She said that Qatar’s healthcare system ranked among the advanced healthcare systems in the world, thanks to the State’s concentrated efforts.
