Tanveer, Assad, Kiramat excel for Galfar, Warriors CC, Shah XI in QCA T20
WHIR WI D batting displays from Kamran (77) and Tanveer (73 not out) propelled Galfar Cricket Club to a 112run win over Doha Falcon in the Qatar Cricket Association’s Division A Twenty20 tournament match played on Friday.
While Kamran struck five fours and four sixes in his 7ball knock, Tanveer cracked four fours and also four sixes in his 40-balls innings as Galfar made 198 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Doha Falcon found the going tough and were eventually bowled out for 86 runs in 16.4 overs.
Tanveer, who also excelled in the field taking one catch was named as the Man of the Match.
In a remier Division match of the same tournament, Assad excelled for Warriors Cricket Club against Fireox Unit I scoring a uickfire 29 (4x4s, 1x6), taking two wickets besides picking up a catch to star as the player of the match.
Warriors batting first made 188 for 3 with Imal scoring a half century 1 ( x4s), Imran 42 not out (6x4s, 1x6), and Assad 29.
In reply, Fireox Unit were restricted to 141 for 8.
In the other Div A match, Kiramat’s all-round show (29 runs, 2 wkts, and a catch) saw Shah I (163-9) beat Qatar Super Kings (93 all out) win by 70 runs.
