83 winners to receive Scientific Excellence Award 2020

THE organising committee of the Scientific Excellence Award has announced the names of the 83 winners of the 13th Scientific Excellence Award 2020. The winners will be honoured at the closing ceremony of the award on March 3.

This came during a press conference held by the committee on Wednesday morning, where the CEO of the award, Dr Hamda Hassan al

Sulaiti announced the names of the winners and the medals they won in each category.

Committee members, winners and their parents, the winning school, winning teachers and the two winning MA and PhD degree holders attended the press meet.

Dr Sulaiti congratula­ted all the winners and praised them for their hard work and dedication. She also urged them to maintain their unique distinctio­ns in future.

Dr Sulaiti also explained the various stages of the award right from the presentati­on, study of files and evaluation by arbitratio­n committees and specialise­d experts to monitoring as well as conducting personal interviews and field visits to schools.

This edition of the Scientific Excellence Award saw large participat­ion of private schools as well as diversity of universiti­es and specialise­d colleges. Besides, it witnessed winning of a technical school, Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administra­tion for Boys, for the first time”, she added.

On his part, Director of Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administra­tion Independen­t School for Boys Ahmed Youssef al Mahmoud expressed his happiness over the winning of his school and thanked the organising committee and the CEO of the award for their encouragem­ent.

Principal of Ali Bin Abdulla Model Independen­t School Sarah Issa al Shuraim also expressed his joy over the winning of his school.
