Jassim al Kuwari qualifies for the finals of 2nd AEF U-21 Dressage Championship
Al Shaqab rider will be competing against some of the best in Asia
JASSIM Mohammed al Kuwari, a student rider of Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, has qualified to represent Qatar in the finals of the 2nd Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) U-21 Dressage Championship to be held in Chinese Taipei.
Scheduled for April 2020, the finals of the Asian championship will feature some of the best of young riders (under 21-years-old) from the participating National Federations (NFs).

Shaqab, said: “Jassim Mohammed Al Kuwari learned to ride at Al Shaqab and has been training with us since 2014. He has been growing in his ability as a rider and gaining skills, learning to compete confidently in international competitions. He is very talented, and we are proud of his achievement.”

A total of 16 finalists from various NFs have qualified for the finals of the AEF U-21
Dressage Championship following their performance in the qualifiers, which were held
throughout the season as part of the championship. During the finals, participants compete on borrowed horses. The qualifiers, held at various zones, are now in their 2nd year. They are organised by the AEF which has its headquarters in Doha.
Dressage is one of four Olympic disciplines, and the U-21 Dressage Championship is part of AEF’s efforts to promote the dressage discipline amongst riders in the Asian region.
