Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi affirmed that the ministry had taken, within the measures taken by the state, to curb the outbreak of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, all precautionary and preventive measures that will ensure the health and safety of students, and school staff during the examinations.

He said the ministry had set standards and requirements for safety in terms of the maintaining safe distancing between students, providing a safe and healthy environment to perform the examinations, taking into account the current conditions, reducing exams time and the number of questions included in each examination.

This came during his visit to Doha Preparatory and Secondary Schools for Boys on Monday to check on the proper functioning of the exams, and the precautionary measures to curb the outbreak of the corona epidemic in the new high school certificate committees.

The minister praised the close and constructive cooperation between the ministry and the ministries and departments concerned in the state to secure the examinations and take all precautions, which made them go smoothly and quietly.

The minister thanked the teaching and administrative bodies for carrying out their work with all sincerity and responsibility.
