QAA to host virtual graduation event of 100 students today
THE atar Aeronautical Academy ( AA) will celebrate the graduation of the new batch of students virtually on Thursday, July 2 (today), across its social media platforms and websites, in line with its commitment to the precautionary measures to reduce the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and to ensure the safety of its guests, students and employees.
Al Rayyan satellite channel will conduct a special coverage of the graduation on Thursday evening. This year’s extraordinary graduation ceremony will include many programmes that will be broadcast and announced.
Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim bin Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti will deliver a speech through social media and Al-Rayyan satellite channel. A recorded video speech of AA Director-General Sheikh Jabr bin Hamad al Thani will also be broadcast.
The photos of around 100 graduates from different programmes such as Pilot Training Division, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Meteorology, Air Traffic Control, Advanced Aviation Management Program will be broadcast.
The virtual graduation ceremony will include sharing some video-recorded words of the graduates expressing their feelings and aspirations on their big day. The director-general of the Academy thanked the minister for his support and urged all graduates to work hard as the graduation is just the beginning of steps to show commitment to atar.
He said, “As the current academic year approaches its end, we congratulate our students. We invite high school graduates to see the special programmes that the Academy offers, which will subsequently qualify them to engage in the aviation field.
