Last phase of Qatar Census 2020 to begin on Dec 1: PSA
THE last phase of the General Population, Housing and Establishments Census (Qatar Census 2020) will commence electronically from December 1 to January 7, 2021, while field work will resume from December 13 to mid-January 2021, after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Public Health, the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) has announced.
The PSA also affirmed its commitment to precautionary and preventive measures against the coronavirus during the implementation of the last phase of the census.
In a press statement, the authority said it will hold a press conference on Monday (tomorrow) to announce the details of the final phase of the census.
At a press conference, the authority will reveal its plan to resume the last phase of the census project, the preparations made during the last phase, the tiring procedures during the field visit for researchers to visit families to complete the data and the remaining interim steps for this national project.
The authority will also reveal the different and approved methods of completing the data of families and individuals during this stage, which would provide options for families and individuals to provide their data with ease and privacy.
The authority had previously announced the resumption of work in the last phase of field work for the General Population, Housing and Establishments Census for 2020, which was suspended due to the precautionary measures taken by the state to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19).
