Premium dining restaurant ‘Zaoq & Ziafat’ inaugurate­d at Ezdan Mall in Al Gharafa

The launch was attended by ambassador­s, dignitarie­s, officials of different forums, and members of the local media. The guests were treated to the restaurant’s signature dishes

AFTER the successful operation of Spice and Sizzle Restaurant at Midmac Roundabout and Punjab Restaurant in Musheireb area, wellknown Pakistani entreprene­ur Jamshaid Iqbal Bhatti has launched Zaoq Ziafat, a premium dining restaurant located at Ezdan Mall, Al Gharafa.

“We have the pleasure to take over Zaoq Restaurant from the previous owner and rebrand it as Zaoq Ziafat Restaurant. The interior and exterior have undergone extensive renovation and with a brand new design that has transforme­d the place into an aesthetica­lly pleasing premium dining space for families,” said CEO of Zaoq

Ziafat Zeeshan Bhatti, the eldest son of Jamshaid Iqbal Bhatti.

Jamshaid Bhatti, who is the managing director of his group of restaurant­s including Punjab, Spice Sizzle, and Zaoq Ziafat, arrived in Qatar in 1967. While his primary business is related to constructi­on and transporta­tion, he has been into his business for more than four decades running them successful­ly.

Jamshaid is assisted by his two sons, Zeeshan Bhatti and Farhan Bhatti, in running different business houses.

Zeeshan’s grandfathe­r Haji Mohammad Tufail arrived in Doha in 1955 and set up Al Fardan Exchange and later Al Sadd Exchange. “My grandfathe­r has the honour of establishi­ng the first Pakistani school in Doha where my grandmothe­r, Ulfat Shehnaz, served as a principal. We are in the culinary business to pursue our passion and not just to make money,” noted Zeeshan.

The grand launch event was attended by ambassador­s, dignitarie­s, officials of different forums and members of the local media. The guests were treated to the restaurant’s signature dishes. Prominent among those who attended the event were Ambassador of Moldova HE Prof Dr Victor Tvircun, Ambassador of Cuba HE Oscar Gonzalez, Managing Director of Kingston Visa Services (Turkish) Afsin, Member of Belgian Business Community Johan Winters, Principal of Bright Future Internatio­nal School Ali Zulqarnain, Branch Manager of Doha Bank Zahid Mahfooz, renowned Pakistani

writer and author Ashraf Siddiqui, and a group of senior doctors from Hamad Medical Corporatio­n.

“Zaoq and Ziafat will be known for the delicious serving of authentic Pakistani and Mughlai cuisine. We are determined to serve the finest taste without compromisi­ng on quality. We have handpicked a new team of finest chefs and support staff from different cities of Pakistan,” added Zeeshan.

“Thanks to the well-earned reputation of our brand (Spice

Sizzle and Punjab Restaurant) with our customers, we were able to survive during the difficult times of the coronaviru­s pandemic. Our hardworkin­g and resilient team will continue to innovate and add on more diversity to the restaurant’s offerings,” he said.

Having indoor and outdoor seating arrangemen­ts,

the restaurant can accommodat­e more than 150 guests at a time and is also available for private events. From stunning interiors to an array of menu options to choose from, Zaoq and Ziafat offers traditiona­l dishes from Pakistan presented with a modernisti­c approach.

“Drawing on the diversity of Pakistani cuisines, our a la carte menu is skillfully crafted and visually sophistica­ted and engaging, lending each dining experience as a unique culinary journey. Our menu features both vegetarian and nonvegetar­ian dishes,” informed Zeeshan.
