MES students display talent at ‘Regalia 2021’
THE two-day Youth estival of MES Indian School, titled ‘Regalia’, culminated with a glittering valedictory function showcasing the artistic talents of the school’s students.
Dr Najeeb KP, senior vice president of MES Governing Board, was the chief guest at the event. The guest of honour, MC Muhamed, director of Cultural Co-Curricular Activities, felicitated the participants for their achievements in pursuit of artistic success.
MES Principal Hameeda Kadar praised the contestants for their record participation through traditional forms of art and congratulated the parents for their efforts in promoting artistic talents of their children.
The cultural fiesta comprised competitions in classical and instrumental music, folk and classical dance, kathak, kuchipudi, solo video performance, and fancy dress and painting etc.
The event conducted in the virtual mode in Senior, Intermediate, unior and Subjunior categories. There were 1,500 student entries in various categories.
The valedictory function commenced with a report on Youth estival-2021 by Anver K, convener of Cultural Activities.
Sohan Sandeep and Mehreen K T were adjudged the best individual artistes in the Sub unior categoryI and II respectively. Nidal Abdul Salam, Abdul attah, Mohammed Hasbin Razack, Aadhil Sunil Kumar Lekshmi and Abhilah were declared the best individual artistes in
unior, Intermediate and Senior categories for boys, respectively.
In the girls’ category, anice Liz Rijoe, Soubiksha Rajesh, Kaviyaha Anand and Arundhathi Gopikrishnan were conferred the best individual artistes award in the
unior, Intermediate and Senior levels, respectively. There was also a video presentation highlighting the cultural representation of the students during the Youth estival 2021.
Dr Najeeb K P, senior vice president, and M C Muhamed, director of Cultural Co-Curricular Activities presented certificates and mementos to the winners. Members of the school Governing Board, vice principals, school officials, special invitees and parents were among those present on the occasion. Earlier, Aquib Shinan Abdul Azizi, cultural secretary, Boys’ Section, welcomed the gathering, and Ateequ Rahman L, head boy,
unior Section, proposed the vote of thanks.
