DW Jewellery showcases elegant pieces at DJWE

TIME ESS jewellery pieces inspired by falcons, safety pins and butter ies are on display at the DW ewellery at the ongoing 1 th edition of Doha ewellery and Watches Exhibition (D WE) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The pieces by a young Qatari designer Aldana Alhen ab are on showcase at the Qatari Pavilion and features exclusive pieces such as rings, chockers, necklaces, earrings, anklets, bangles and many others made of gold with diamonds and pearls.

Speaking to Qatar Tribune, Alhen ab said she started three years ago and, every year, she comes up with a new collection.

“I have used pearls because they are popular in Qatar and are associated with its culture. My pieces are simple and elegant,” she said.

She said three of the collections are luxurious and can be worn all day whether in offices or social gatherings.

Her latest collection is the Al Shaheen (falcon) collection which she designed in September to depict the falconry season which runs from September. The intricate details of the wings of the falcon are made of black diamonds.

Alhen ab said that safety pin collection was her first collection made of pearls, rubis, golds and diamonds. This collection includes rings, chockers, bracelets, earrings and other accessories to meet the needs of different events and personalities.

“This collection is simple and elegant. I use the VS diamond,” she said.

In addition, the butter y collection includes small exquisite pieces that are handicrafted to suit all age groups.

ust like a butter y, these sophisticated pieces will embellish outfits during different occasions. The soft and luxurious pieces are made of natural stones such as malachite, pink mother of pearl, white mother of pearls, as well as 1 -karat gold and diamonds.

According to Alhen ab, this was her first time to participate in Doha ewellery and Watches Exhibition.

She thanked Qatar Tourism for giving her an opportunity to showcase her pieces alongside renowned brands where she can learn a lot.

“I am very happy and grateful,” she said.
