Qatari comedian Al Amari is MC at FIFA Fan Festival
The stand-up comedy star says the stunning venue will be the heartbeat of this year’s FIFA World Cup
QATARI comedian and presenter Hamad Al Amari will be the master of ceremony (MC) at the FIFA Fan Festival during this year’s FIFA World Cup.
Located at Al Bidda Park, close to Doha’s West Bay area, the FIFA Fan Festival will be open daily throughout the tournament, which will be held from November 20 to December 18. It will screen every match live and host a number of entertainment activations and food and beverage options.
The popular comic and presenter Amari, who is well known for his standup routines, said: “The FIFA Fan Festival is going to be the heartbeat of the tournament so it’s a tremendous honour to be part of this activity. Spending the tournament time with fans from around the world will offer a fantastic opportunity to showcase Qatar’s culture and traditions, along with our sense of fun and humour.”
The FIFA Fan Festival will host up to 40,000 fans daily during the tournament. It will be free to attend and is located near three Doha Metro stations: Al Corniche, Al Bidda and The White Palace. Regular shuttle buses from a host of locations will also connect fans directly to the activation.
A number of global acts will perform at the FIFA Fan Festival, which will offer a wide variety of food and beverage options. There will also be dedicated football activities and exhibitions, and regular appearances from FIFA legends.
“The FIFA Fan Festival will provide fans with an unforgettable experience. They will unite at Al Bidda Park, with the beautiful West Bay skyline as the backdrop, to enjoy wonderful weather, great music and excellent food,” added Amari.
Amari added that the FIFA Fan Festival would unite fans from all over the world in a celebration of the beautiful game.
