HIA sees 69.8% rise in passenger footfall

THE passenger footfall at the Hamad International Airport (HIA) witnessed a 69.8 percent increase in October as compared to the same month last year. The freight and mail traffic witnessed a decrease of 15.3 percent compared to the same month of 2021. HIA saw an 16.5 percent increase in aircraft movement in October as compared to the same month last year. Aircraft movement recorded 15,812 flights in October 2021, while 18,427 flights were recorded in October 2022. The number of passengers was 3237,321 in October 2022, while 1907,235 passengers were recorded in October 2021.
