Amir condoles with Turkish president

HIS Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the phone call, HH the Amir expressed his sincere condolences on the victims of the explosion that took place in Istanbul, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

HH the Amir affirmed that Qatar stands by Turkey and its brotherly people, and its full support for all the measures it takes to maintain its security and stability. HH the Amir reiterated Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence, terrorism, and targeting civilians and innocents.

In a statment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the bombing that took place in the Taksim area in the center of Istanbul.
