QU and EAA sign agreement to offer scholarshi­ps for students under ‘Al Fakhoora’ programme

QATAR University (QU) and Education Above All (EAA) have signed an agreement to develop and enhance joint cooperatio­n and utilise their common potentials in the areas related to EAA’s Qatar Scholarshi­p Programme ‘Al Fakhoora’.

The agreement was signed by QU Vice President for Student Affairs Dr Eiman Mustafawi and EAA Programme Director Talal Al-Hothal.

Through this agreement, the two parties aim to establish a cadre of non-Qatari youth in Qatar from underserve­d background­s empowered by quality academic programmes, capacity developmen­t and support systems, making meaningful contributi­ons in Qatar and globally.

Dr Eiman Mustafawi said, “We are pleased to sign this agreement with Education Above All, which will benefit Qatar University students. We are always keen to provide the best educationa­l opportunit­ies for our students and through this programme we will work to support these students as well as work on various other areas of common interest to both parties.”

Talal Al-Hothal said, “So far the programme has provided 125 scholarshi­ps to students inside Qatar from various universiti­es, with the support of the General Directorat­e of Endowment. Thanks to this scholarshi­p programme, Education Above All aims to provide educationa­l opportunit­ies to create a future for all students.

“We are working with our partners such as Qatar University, to provide support and create fair educationa­l opportunit­ies that allow all students to access quality education.”
