2nd floating hotel arrives in Doha

THE second floating hotel, MSC Poesia, docked in Doha Port on Monday morning to join MSC World Europa, which arrived in Doha on Thursday, to offer a luxurious hospitalit­y experience to fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The cruise ship, MSC Poesia, is a modern 4-star floating hotel and it will offer luxurious services to World Cup fans. MSC Poesia houses 1,265 cabins, three swimming pools, a spa and wellness center, cinema, poolside, tennis and basketball courts.

The cruise ship, MSC Poesia, is a modern 4-star floating hotel and it will offer luxurious services to World Cup fans with a variety of room options ranging from traditiona­l cabins overlookin­g the sea to rooms with balconies and luxury suites, in addition to multiple dining possibilit­ies and programs and entertainm­ent for all ages.

MSC Poesia houses 1,265 cabins, three swimming pools, a spa and wellness center, cinema, poolside, tennis and basketball courts, in addition to four dining options, 15 coffee shops and event venues.

Floating hotels are one of several facilities provided by Qatar for fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, offering multiple booking and accommodat­ion options throughout the tournament, including apartments, villas, fan villages and usual hotels.

Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker affirmed in statements that offering accommodat­ion and recreation­al services on board floating hotels reflects the strenuous efforts exerted to organize the best World Cup in history.

According to the estimates of the MSC Cruises Group, owner of the three floating hotels that will serve the tournament, the capacity of the three cruise ships reach 10,000 beds, and reservatio­ns for the first week of the World Cup have reached 100%.
