3 arrested for unauthorised resale of World Cup tickets

THREE men have been arrested in Qatar for trying to resell FIFA World Cup tickets through unofficial outlets, the Ministry of Interior said on Monday. Unauthorised sale, resale, and exchange of tickets for FIFA World Cup matches is a punishable offence that carries a fine of up to QR250,000 as per Law No 10 of 2021. Known as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Law, it regulates measures for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. FIFA has announced that fans who have purchased World Cup tickets online may submit those for resale on the FIFA official ticket resale platform.
