Tree of Dreams welcomes visitors at Al Sikka International Festival
THE CONMEBOL – Tree of Dreams organised by the organisation for soccer in South America in collaboration with Msheireb Properties, which documents the history and achievements of football in the Latin continent, is welcoming visitors and fans from all around the world.
Located in Sikkat Al-Wadi at Msheireb Downtown Doha, it is one of the many activities of the Sikkat Alwad International Festival which features shows, exhibitions, and events that adds a cultural taste to football.
It features three experiences: Player Gallery, Player Experience, and Best Tournaments. It reflects the roots of South American football, from the Maracanã to the potrero pitches of the barrios and encapsulates a distinct South American spirit in football found nowhere else. Visitors can explore a tree inspired by the roots of soccer in the South American region.
From the Maracanã stadium to the popular neighbourhood playgrounds, the tree provides life to the barrios that surround it, connecting South American football’s past, present and future.
The experience displays images, photos and information about the best players in the continent including Pele and Maradona who are always football icons. Fans have the opportunity to capture memorable photos of trophies and cups that the states of the federation have won, and also show their skills in a dedicated playing area.
The football federation of South America, CONMEBOL, oversees organising football competitions including Copa America and Copa Libertadores cup. It was founded on 9 July 1916 to unite sports in the South American continent.
The activations in Msheireb Downtown Doha continue to charm visitors and fans offering them a holistic experience that adds glamour to football.
The CONMEBOL – Tree of Dreams opens from 9 AM until midnight during the World Cup tournament.
