Argentine singer Andres Ciro Martinez rocks Katara amphitheat­re

IN keeping with the prevailing enthusiast­ic atmosphere that has brought sports and art together, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in cooperatio­n with the Argentine Embassy in Qatar, organised an impressive concert by Argentine singer and musician Andres Ciro Martinez and his band at the Katara amphitheat­re on Sunday evening.

It was attended by an audience of different nationalit­ies, including a large number of fans of the Argentine national football team.

Martinez presented songs of rock and pop music. He is considered the most famous Argentine singer in South

America. He has famously performed at various theatres and stadiums throughout Latin America and Europe.

Meanwhile, the Gulf Folk Food Pavilions at the Marine Cafe by the Katara beach promenade at the 12th Katara Traditiona­l Dhow Festival continues to attract the admiration of FIFA World Cup Qatar fans of Arab and foreign nationalit­ies. The food on offer at these stores is varied and includes the most famous Qatari and Gulf cuisine such as Machboos, Harees, porridge, grilled fish and tandoori with meat and biryani, in addition to other specialiti­es, such as Balalit, Luqaimat, regag bread and samosas.

Since the launch of the Katara’s activities accompanyi­ng the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the popular food outlets have been catering to a large number of people while introducin­g them to the various tastes and culture. There is a huge rush each evening as all visitors to the cafes overlookin­g the sea are keen to savour these delicious dishes.
