German football body boss doesn’t want to stop dialogue with FIFA

GERMAN football federation (DFB) president Bernd Neuendorf doesn’t want to give FIFA president Gianni Infantino the silent treatment, despite recent rows between both federations. Neuendorf said there’s always conflict but “that doesn’t mean that we won’t talk to each other in the future. That would also be unprofessional,” he told the Magenta TV portal on Sunday. The DFB president said he’s “quite open to continue the dialogue” with FIFA and Infantino. Shortly before the start of the World Cup, DFB said it would not nominate Infantino for the upcoming FIFA presidential elections next year. The current federation boss, however, is the only candidate in the race.
