Qatar University Health promotes academic programmes on Graduate Studies Open Day
The importance of the Graduate Studies Open Day is to provide all the necessary information and a detailed explanation for students who plan to complete their graduate studies
QU Health, the Health Cluster of Qatar University (QU), recently organised an Open Day for Graduate Studies through the graduate office, with the participation of all QU health colleges, featuring the College of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy, College of Dental Medicine and College of Nursing.
The event was organised to promote QU health academic programmes and the opportunities each programme offers. It also aims to raise awareness of the requirements for applying for graduate studies, introduce the various study plans and the educational and academic opportunities available to students. The open day also provided the opportunity for students to communicate with ambassadors and representatives of each academic programmes.
The importance of the Graduate Studies Open Day is to provide all the necessary information and a detailed explanation for students who plan to complete their graduate studies and move forward in their scientific and practical career at QU, within the graduate studies, diploma, masters’ or PhD programme.
The open day event for graduate studies in QU Health included the presentation of 10 postgraduate programmes in QU Health, including two postgraduate certificate programmes in health professions education and biomedical sciences, in addition to a Doctor of Pharmacy programme, and six master’s programmes, namely: Master of Science Programme Biomedical, Master of Public Health, Master of Human Nutrition, Master of Genetic Counseling, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Education in Health Professions, in addition to a PhD programme in Health Sciences.
This event targets students intending to apply for admission to graduate programmes during Spring and Fall 2023, and introduced them to the steps to be followed to successfully complete the process. Each program admission requirement and expectations were discussed.
Head of Graduate and Research at the College of Health Sciences Dr Mashael Al Shafei stressed the importance of the Open Day saying, “The aim of the event is to introduce students who wish to enrol in the various programmes available in the sector and its affiliated colleges, the terms of admission, how to apply for these programmes and future job opportunities. We encourage students and workers in the health sector to apply and join the QU Health family.”
The application window will open on January 8, 2023 and close on February 16, 2023.
