During the recruitment process more than 500,000 people applied to volunteer and more than 60,000 were interviewed during the recruitment process. Qatar has made extensive arrangements with huge investments, be it stadiums, roads, infrastructure, health care facilities, logistics and transportation. World-class entertainment facilities with the presence of celebrities have added colour to the event,” remarked Fahad Ismail.,

“Hundreds of Pakistani students and expats in Qatar are working tirelessly to ensure the success of the FIFA World Cup 2022. They are working around all the eight World Cup stadiums in functional and non-functional areas to extend their unconditional support. Pakistani football fans from across the globe have also come to Qatar in large numbers to watch the matches,” noted Qaiser Khan.

“Although Pakistan’s national football team is not part of the mega event, Pakistan-made Adidas footballs are shining in the matches. We are happy that Qatar has provided us the wonderful opportunity of witnessing an international event being organised in the Middle East for the first time. Pakistan is also extending security and other support for the success of this mega event. This is just another example of the strong relationship between the two brotherly countries. Besides many students who are assisting in engineering, IT, hospitality and broadcasting, the Pakistani community in Qatar is also supporting this major event for its success,” said Rana Anwar Ali.
