THE Tunisian fans lived their best nights after the historic victory of the Eagles of Carthage over the French team, the defending World Cup champions and a team having won the biggest and most famous titles.

The Tunisian fans celebrated this victory in their own way, and the celebrations extended from Doha to the green quarters of Tunis. The joy of the fans was spotted in many places in Doha, Souq Waqif, Msheireb Downtown and the Doha Corniche. Arab fans joined the Tunisians, and everyone was happy with this victory.

Ahmed Ahmadov, a Tunisian fan, stressed that his country’s national team played a very big match and scored victory over the French national team, one of the leading candidates for the Championship title. It was a historical achievement.

He pointed out that the Tunisian national team played a big match, and deserved to win. Led by coach Qaderi, who was able to handle the match wonderfully, dividing the match into several stages, realising what he sought from the beginning and finally by managing a well- deserved victory.

Ahmedov said that the coach’s plans were great, as he exhausted the French national team during the first half and finished it off in the second half.

“We are here to present great football, to tell the world that Tunisian football is constantly developing for the better not just to qualify for the next round. The victory over France is not an accident, but the result of a sound planning over the past years, during which Tunisian football advanced strongly, which was or everybody to see during the 90 minutes in front of the French national team. We are happy and proud of our national team and its excellent level,” Ahmedov added.

Tunisian Ali Qahtan commented: “We are living the best moments of joy after the victory over France. Tunisian football is able to showcase its might at the largest world football events”.

“God willing, we will continue to shine more in next competitions”.

As for the fan Mohammed Al Shami, he was more realistic when he said: “Frankly, the victory over France was unexpected, and the Tunisian national team surprised us with a deserved victory over a strong team, a favorite to win the title, which pleased us all and the joy was overwhelming.”

He continued, “We have to thank Coach Qaderi and all the players for their efforts throughout the match to realise this big victory.”

Naeema Mohamed, a Tunisian cheerleader, said the Tunisian national team deserved this exciting victory, based on the progress of the match, noting that the coach led the team efficiently and was able to deal with the course of the match tactically and with a plan, “which gave us an advantage in getting the result in our favor and defending respectfully and well”.
