PM attends CCQ graduation ceremony

Prime Minister honours outstanding graduates CCQ celebrates graduation of 929 students

PRIME Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani attended the graduation ceremony of 11th batch of the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) students (Class of 2022).

The PM honoured the outstanding graduates, while CCQ’s President Dr Khalid Mohamed Al-Horr presented the certificates to the 929 graduates of various disciplines.

Held at Lusail Sport Hall, the ceremony was attended by Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim and a number of sheikhs and ministers, academic and administrative staff, and parents of graduates.

The ceremony featured the graduation of the first class of the Bachelor of Science in

Logistics and Supply Chain Management numbering 86 students; the first class of the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology,

11 students; and the first class of the Associate of Arts in Business Administration, 41 students.

In his speech during the ceremony, Dr Khalid Al Horr congratulated the graduates, expressing his pride in this achievement.

He also shed light on the efforts made by CCQ during the past year, including the evaluation of its 20 academic programs that were designed according to the needs of the labor market, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Moreover, CCQ conducted a comparative study with a number of regional and international colleges, as part of its continuous efforts to promote high academic standards and highquality programs.

Dr Al Horr stressed that CCQ had spared no effort to enhance its academic and student services, and provide a stimulating learning environment.

Today I witnessed the graduation ceremony of a new batch of CCQ students.. I wish the graduates success in their lives and serving their country.

UNDER the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the Community College of atar (CC ) celebrated the graduation of its 11th batch of 929 associate’s and bachelor’s degree holders (Class of 2022) on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior honoured the outstanding graduates while CC ’s President Dr Khalid Mohamed Al Horr presented certificates to the graduates.

The ceremony was attended by a number of sheikhs and ministers, academic and administrative staff, parents of graduates and a number of CC ’s elite guests.

The ceremony featured the graduation of the first class of 86 students of the Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management the first class of 11 students of the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology and the first class of 41 students of the Associate of Arts in Business Administration.

In his speech at the ceremony, Dr Horr congratulated the graduates, expressing his pride in their achievement.

He also shed light on the efforts exerted by CC during the past year, including the evaluation of its 20 academic programmes that were designed according to the needs of the labour market, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

He added that CC conducted a comparative study with a number of regional and international colleges, as part of its continuous efforts to promote high academic standards and high-quality programmes.

Dr Horr stressed that CC has enhanced its academic and student services, and provided a stimulating learning environment, adding that the college was also keen on attracting highly qualified academic and administrative staff and expanding its campuses to accommodate the increasing number of students, as it currently has approximately 8,400 students, with 20 percent of the total number of atari students pursuing higher education.

“Today, CC takes pride in awarding over 5,400 degrees since its establishment in 2010. CC also served as a bridge for more than 3,200 students to complete their higher education studies at other universities, mainly atar University. These accomplishments reflect our firm belief that human capital is the main driving force and ultimate objective of development, and our unwavering commitment to supporting national priorities and to being an efficient contributor to sustainable development,” he added.

He highlighted the college’s expansion in academic and strategic partnerships with a number of agreements and MoUs aimed at fostering academic collaboration and achieving sustainable human and social development.

These included signing an articulation agreement with Lusail University to help CC students to complete their studies in one of the undergraduate programmes offered by the university, signing an MoU with the Police Institute, opening Huawei ICT Academy Lab at CC , signing an MoU with atar oluntary Center, and signing an MoU with atar Stock Exchange.

He also referred to the cooperation agreement signed with the Ministry of Interior to allow inmates of penal and correctional institutions to enrol in CC , pointing out that 23 inmates enrolled in CC ’s Foundation Programme.

In her speech on behalf of the Class of 2022, graduate Sabah Ali Alajji, Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, expressed her joy about turning the graduation dream into reality after years of study and hard work. She explained how her class was full of dreamers who made their ambitions a reality through CC , which enabled them to pursue their higher education studies by introducing flexible learning pathways that helped them maintain a workstudy-life balance.

“We, the Class of 2022, take pride in being part of CC , which gave us access to stateof-the-art facilities and highquality curricula that enabled us to excel in our studies and strive to make our names and our beloved country’s name shine in academic and professional arenas. Our sincere thanks are due to CC ’s academic and administrative staff who supported us through the past years,” she added.

CC ’s 11th batch includes 929 graduates (307 males and 622 females) from the three academic divisions: 591 graduates from the Management Sciences Division, 213 graduates from the Liberal Arts Division and 125 graduates from the Science and Technology Division.

Graduates of the Class of 2022 expressed excitement and pride on their graduation day.Abdullah Jaber Al Mohannadi, Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, pointed out that graduating from this distinguished bachelor’s degree programme was a dream that came true.

Mariam Abdulrazzagh Kandoushi, Bachelor of Science in Cyber and Network Security, said CC played a vital role in fulfilling her childhood dream.

Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al Jassim, Associate of Arts in Business Administration, described his graduation as the goal he had always sought, and was achieved by the grace of Allah and the efforts of CC ’s faculty members.

Graduate Maryam Nasser Al Khori, Associate of Science in Information Technology, said: “I am very happy and proud of this achievement after much effort and hard work, which resulted in achieving a high GPA and being honoured by the college, whose administrative and academic staff spared no effort to help me achieve my dream of pursuing undergraduate studies. I am currently planning to further pursue my dream at CC by obtaining the Bachelor of Science in Cyber and Network Security, and then join the labour market to serve my dear country, atar.”
