MESIS celebrates R-Day of India
MES Indian School MESIS , Abu Hamour branch celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India on January 2 , at the school multi-purpose hall.
The programme started with recitations from the Holy Quran by Minha and was followed by a welcome speech by Pramila Kannan principal-officiating .
The dignitaries for the event were Hazmal Ismail general secretary, MESIS governing board , Hashim N.M secretary, MESIS governing board , M.C. Muhamed director of cultural co-curricular activities, MESIS governing board , Firos K director of transport, MESIS governing board and Faisal Mayan director of Islamic affairs, MESIS governing board .
The flag hoisting was done by Hazmal Ismail. M.C Muhammed mentioned the efforts of B.R Ambedkar and motivated the students with his words to be more responsible and contribute to the nation.
The cultural performances began with speech by Andrea Mary 9B and Sarah Brite 7B in English and maima B in Hindi. A scintillating patriotic dance by reeshma 9C and Sreebadra 8B and the remarkable performance of students of rade V infused patriotism in hearts of the audience. A group song was sung by students of rade I and Blessy Pauline 7B played the keyboard.
The tiny tots of grade I and II presented “Jewels of India” a fancy dress parade of freedom fighters of India. It was followed by “Dress for the Nation-Proud to be an Indian”. It was indeed a visual treat for the audience, a kaleidoscope of colourful traditional costumes from different states of India which highlighted the harmony and diversity in India.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Fadwa of rade 9A. The programme was anchored by Shama Nayeem 9A . The teachers who coordinated the event under the guidance of the principal were Nameer and Shahanas.
