ICBF to host ILD celebration ‘Rang Tarang 2023’ on May 26
THE Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), in coordination with the Embassy of India in Qatar, will organise a mega cultural event, titled ‘Rang Tarang 2023’, to mark the International Labour Day (ILD) 2023 at Asian Town Cricket Stadium on May 26 from 5pm to 10pm. Several government departments in Qatar, such as Traffic, Civil Defence, Community Police and Public Relations Department, will also participate in the programme.
The colourful fiesta will showcase a variety of cultural programmes by Indian bluecollar workers in Qatar, as well as by members of Associate Organizations of the ICBF and various Indian cultural groups. Indian embassy officials and eminent personalities from Qatar are expected to grace the occasion, said IFBF officials at a press conference.
Highlighting the event’s significance, ICBF will honour five exceptional individuals who have dedicated over three decades of their lives as lowincome employees in Qatar. They will be honoured for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions to the nation’s progress.
“Rang Tarang promises to be a mesmerising display of culture and talent, bringing together the labour community and fostering an appreciation for their significant role in Qatar’s development. The event will be a testament to ICBF’s commitment to recognising and celebrating the hardworking individuals who have shaped the nation,” said Shanavas Bava, ICBF president.
The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) was established in 1984 under the guidance of the Indian Embassy, with the late Mulchand Assandas Kanjani as the founder president. Over the past 39 years, ICBF has been dedicated to providing assistance to the less fortunate and deserving members of the community.
