Usually when we hear of clubs, we consider the typical Red Cross and Girl Scouts, or perhaps evwen a Chess Club, but rising up on the St. Lucian scene of late, have been several unique niche clubs. One such interesting club launched within recent months is the ‘Noah and Voxy Club’, which is a group of Noah and Voxy vehicle owners who converge at intervals throughout the year to host a series of exciting events and engaging activities. Renee Edward along with a group of other Toyota Noah owners recently staged the first ever event of its kind at the Pigeon Island Landmark on Monday May 2nd (Labour Day). It was through brainstorming at home, the founder says he conceptualized this unique club, similar to that of the famous Motor X Club. In less than two weeks he says, the club steadily grew and they already were well placed with 20 members strong and growing.

According to the founder, the group is ‘not in existence for the mere purpose of having fun, but to assist each other in any way they can’. The club members were all in unison about the group’s aim. “We have people through whom we all can order parts, since these parts are difficult to acquire here,” said Edward. The group is looking forward to hosting several continuous events like these in the future, every holiday, they say, or as suggested by club members. The owners all agree that the vehicle type is currently one of the best vehicles both on the market and on the road as they are economical, spacious, a family vehicle to say the least, notwithstanding the fact that they are classy, working vehicles.

Joaknows, another active and enthusiastic club member added, “The Noah crew is the first ever in St. Lucia. We want St. Lucians to see the potential which exists when they take care of their vehicles.” He boldly stated. The Voxy, which is also a part of the prestigious Noah family but carries a different design, also qualifies its owners for club membership. Whether it’s a stylish Toyota Noah or its classy cousin the Voxy, one thing’s for certain and beyond a shadow of a doubt, these beautiful vehicles all have a few things in common; their exquisite shape, exclusive and highly elegant look and very comfortable feel.

On Sunday 15th May a thrilling round the island was enjoyed by enthusiastic club members who enjoyed a full day of jam-packed action, laughter and pure fun in the sun while cruising down through the scenic communities, all in the comfort and style of their chic vehicles. Admittedly, clubs have truly evolved throughout the years and indeed in keeping with the steady evolution of trends and with the Noah and Voxy club and other such clubs now in existence, holidays in St. Lucia are sure to never be the same again.
