Out of Eight came one

The Star (St. Lucia) - Life Begins 2 Nite - - FRONT PAGE -

July 2nd 2016 was the big day which eight eager contestants had for over a period of three month been preparing. The National Cultural Centre was the lively venue of the National Carnival Queen Pageant and the contestants delivered a show fit for even the most difficultto-please audience. Cheered on by their many enthusiastic supporters, the eight beauties all put their best foot forward, but out of many, one queen was selected to reign for a year. Tyler Theophane, Miss F.I.C.S emerged winner of the competition, with Shartoya Jn. Baptiste placing first runner up representing as Miss Super J-IGA. Racquel John, Miss St. Lucia Zouks emerged second runner-up and Kayshia Verneuil, Miss Digicel claimed the title of third runner-up. The event was rated by both organisers and all in attendance as being a major success!
