Cops for­get their trou­bles for Kaiso

Last Saturday the Chesterfield build­ing at Po­lice Head­quar­ters was the venue for the Kaiso Head­quar­ters XI show. Dubbed the safest fete, the event was by all indi­ca­tions a suc­cess. The event was hosted by an en­er­getic MC Don­erville with en­ter­tain­ment pro­vided by lo­cal artistes Great White, Keisha, Ezra de Fun Ma­chine and Umpa. They cer­tainly rocked the joint. Pre­sen­ters were Cor­po­ral Alvin Faucher, Pres­i­dent of the Po­lice Sports Club; Fiona Smith of Dig­i­cel; and COP Sev­erin Monch­ery.

Tak­ing home the crown and emerg­ing the night’s big win­ner was PC Alden ‘Spoiler’ Raphael rep­re­sent­ing the Gros Islet Po­lice Sta­tion with a song en­ti­tled ‘Organ Donor’. WPC Marva ‘Epee’ Epiphane rep­re­sented the Soufriere Po­lice Sta­tion plac­ing sec­ond with her song ‘The Three Cans’ and Sab­rina ‘Em­press Siwo’ Man­gal came in third with ‘The Blame Game’.

Sab­rina ‘Em­press Siwo’ Smith Man­gal en­gaged the crowd with her hit track The Blame Game which ad­dressed re­cently high­lighted po­lit­i­cal events, in­clud­ing IMPACS. Her song caught the at­ten­tion of many and fu­eled much dis­cus­sion.
