CPL Cricket Tournament kicks off in full swing!
The Caribbean Premiere League tournament this year kicked off from June 29 and comes to a closure on August 7 with 34 T20 matches being played. Five Caribbean islands have been competing in the tournament, including St. Lucia, Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad, St. Kitts & Nevis and Barbados. The St. Lucia Zouks have played eight games winning a total of three matches on island, having been defeated by Trinidad on local turf and in overseas matches in Trinidad conquered the host island and lost three other games. The final results were as follows: Jamaica Tallawahs amassed a final 13 points, Guyana Amazon Warriors 10 points, Trinbago Knight Riders 8 points, St. Lucia Zouks 8 points, Barbados 7 points and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots 2 points. The Daren Sammy National Stadium at Beausejour was host venue to the event and it was well attended with hundreds coming out in support of the local team.
