CPL Cricket Tour­na­ment kicks off in full swing!

The Caribbean Pre­miere League tour­na­ment this year kicked off from June 29 and comes to a clo­sure on Au­gust 7 with 34 T20 matches be­ing played. Five Caribbean is­lands have been com­pet­ing in the tour­na­ment, in­clud­ing St. Lu­cia, Guyana, Bar­ba­dos, Trinidad, St. Kitts & Ne­vis and Bar­ba­dos. The St. Lu­cia Zouks have played eight games win­ning a to­tal of three matches on is­land, hav­ing been de­feated by Trinidad on lo­cal turf and in overseas matches in Trinidad con­quered the host is­land and lost three other games. The fi­nal re­sults were as fol­lows: Ja­maica Tallawahs amassed a fi­nal 13 points, Guyana Ama­zon War­riors 10 points, Trin­bago Knight Rid­ers 8 points, St. Lu­cia Zouks 8 points, Bar­ba­dos 7 points and St. Kitts & Ne­vis Pa­tri­ots 2 points. The Daren Sammy National Sta­dium at Beause­jour was host venue to the event and it was well at­tended with hun­dreds com­ing out in sup­port of the lo­cal team.
