COCO PALM TAKES BUSI­NESS SE­RI­OUSLY

Saint Lu­cia’s lead­ing busi­ness houses were hosted by Coco Palm for the open­ing of the new ex­ec­u­tive lounge on Septem­ber 5 as cor­po­rate travel proves to be a key sec­tor. En­hanc­ing the guest ex­pe­ri­ence is key to Coco Palm’s suc­cess and the new lounge is to fa­cil­i­tate the busi­ness trav­eller while on­is­land with a ded­i­cated space to work and re­lax while on prop­erty.

Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Mark Fer­gu­son ex­pressed his thanks to the top pro­duc­ing busi­ness clients and said, “Thanks to each of you, cor­po­rate travel has proven to be a key mar­ket to Coco Palm which sus­tains us through­out the year. We have lis­tened to your feed­back and have cre­ated a ded­i­cated space to of­fer your clients. The pri­vate space al­lows clients to meet and work to­gether with work­sta­tions, flat screen TV, stocked fridge with chilled drinks, beer on tap and a Lavazza cof­fee maker.”

Fer­gu­son elab­o­rated and noted, “The dé­cor is a con­tin­u­a­tion of our lobby which was up­graded in De­cem­ber 2017 with very sleek and func­tional fea­tures. This theme is now be­ing con­tin­ued with up­grades to our Gar­den View and Pool View rooms which are the key cat­e­gories for our cor­po­rate clients, to be com­pleted by De­cem­ber 2018.”

In ap­pre­ci­a­tion for their con­tin­ued sup­port in choos­ing the award-win­ning bou­tique ho­tel in Rod­ney Bay, Events Man­ager Mrs. Alta King-Des­tang per­son­ally thanked all part­ners: “On be­half of all our team, thank you for con­tin­u­ing to make Coco Palm your pre­ferred choice. We take pride in plan­ning your meet­ings and events as well as wel­com­ing your guests while on-is­land. It has been a plea­sure work­ing with each and ev­ery one of you and tonight is sim­ply our ex­pres­sion of thanks and to show you we mean busi­ness.”

Chef Richard­son pre­pared a sam­ple of his spe­cialty dishes. He wel­comed the val­ued guests, say­ing: “We know we have en­ter­tained your guests and we hope tonight we whet your ap­petite in show­ing you what we have on of­fer for your spe­cial events, par­ties and the up­com­ing Christ­mas sea­son. Thank you for en­trust­ing us with your val­ued clients while do­ing busi­ness on-is­land. We ap­pre­ci­ate your con­tin­ued sup­port in choos­ing Coco Palm and hope you per­son­ally will en­joy all Ti Bananne has to of­fer.”

The new busi­ness cen­tre fol­lows the con­tin­ued up­grade pro­gramme with In­side Out’s Lor­raine Mof­fat and Kathy De­vaux who also helped de­sign the ren­o­vated lobby in De­cem­ber 2017. In­side Out will also be work­ing on the room ren­o­va­tions with the first two lead-in cat­e­gories open­ing in De­cem­ber 2018. The thir­teenyear-old prop­erty also had an ex­pan­sion of the Ti Bananne Caribbean Bistro and Bar in 2016 with a new kitchen and ex­tended pub­lic area.

Coco Palm’s cor­po­rate ap­pre­ci­a­tion was spon­sored by Saint Lu­cia Dis­tillers who of­fered guests a range of spe­cialty rums at the Chair­man’s Bar set up on the Ti Bananne deck. In ad­di­tion, Wind­ward & Lee­ward Brew­ery Ltd. pre­sented an ad­di­tional se­lec­tion of drinks for guests on the night. En­ter­tain­ment for the evening was pro­vided by Yan­nick James.
