Com­mu­nal Bin Re­moval Ex­er­cise at Bisee, Cas­tries

The Saint Lu­cia Solid Waste Man­age­ment Au­thor­ity con­tin­ues ef­forts at en­sur­ing that all Saint Lu­cians ben­e­fit from a cleaner en­vi­ron­ment. A bin re­moval and beau­ti­fi­ca­tion ex­er­cise is sched­uled for Bisee, Cas­tries in the vicin­ity of the Na­tional Emer­gency Man­age­ment Or­ga­ni­za­tion (NEMO) Sec­re­tariat on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 14, 2018.

Res­i­dents ser­viced by the bins will be re­quired to place house­hold garbage at the des­ig­nated col­lec­tion point or along the con­crete road from their homes on Tues­days and Fri­days by 7:00a.m. Bulk waste col­lec­tion ser­vice will be pro­vided on the first Satur­day of ev­ery month.

All res­i­dents are there­fore en­cour­aged to play their part to en­sure that the for­mer lo­ca­tion of the bins and the com­mu­nity re­main free of garbage by un­der­tak­ing the fol­low­ing: 1. Ob­tain­ing a garbage bin or suit­able con­tainer for stor­age of solid waste at home; 2. Plac­ing solid waste out only on the des­ig­nated col­lec­tion days for the com­mu­nity.

Saint Lu­cia Solid Waste Man­age­ment Au­thor­ity en­cour­ages res­i­dents to do what is re­quired in or­der to keep Bisee clean.
