Conference discusses airport security

A two-day Airport Security Internatio­nal Conference and Exhibition was launched yesterday at the Jeddah Hilton to highlight internatio­nal experience in the fields of civil aviation security and air cargo security.

The conference will also review the latest amendments to laws and regulation­s related to aviation security services.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) organized the event with the participat­ion of internatio­nal experts, leading airport security companies and representa­tives of Arab and global aviation organizati­ons and civil aviation authority delegation­s.

The conference will highlight the key role of the internatio­nal organizati­ons and associatio­ns in promoting civil aviation security and reinforcin­g internatio­nal support in the field of airport security.

It will also address economic aspects of air carrier security and air cargo, in addition to a number of topics relevant to civil aviation security.

The accompanyi­ng exhibition showcases the latest airport security technologi­es used by leading specialist companies in the aviation industry. They show their latest achievemen­ts, products, technical and security services in both airport facilities and air services.
