Biannual Arabic linguistic­s journal to be launched

Arabic Linguistic­s, a new scientific journal that will appear every six months, will be launched by King Abdullah Internatio­nal Center for Arabic Language Service ( KAICA).

The publicatio­n aims to promote modern studies of the Arabic language using a scientific linguistic approach. It will focus on studies that link contempora­ry linguistic perspectiv­es and modern linguistic approaches with the Arabic language, as well as studies that apply these theoretica­l approaches to Arabic.

The center’s Secretary- General, Abdullah Al- Washmi, said the launch of Arabic Linguistic­s comes from within KAICA’s efforts to serve and observe Arabic language and literature. The jour- nal’s articles will cover topics based on reliable scientific studies dealing with Arabic language from different linguistic angles.

Al- Washmi said KAICA sets out to make this journal one of leading publicatio­ns in its fields. Studies will be published according to global publishing concepts and the journal will appear regularly.

He also mentioned the diverse specialtie­s of the journal’s editorial board members who assess and review the quality of published papers.

He expects to publish a diverse range of research sources from all over the world by researcher­s of different nationalit­ies. Al- Washmi urged interested researcher­s to submit their papers to Arabic Linguistic­s journal via King Abdullah Internatio­nal Center for Arabic Language Service in Riyadh at www. kaica. org. sa.
