Bupa Arabia signs deal to support orphanages in Makkah and Riyadh

Bupa Arabia, a leading health insurance provider in Saudi Arabia, is continuing its efforts to provide free medical insurance coverage to orphans, by taking its plans a step further by signing new agreements with orphanages in Makkah and Riyadh.

The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Loay Nazer, Bupa Arabia chairman, and Abdullah Al-Tawi, general manager of Social Affairs for the Makkah Al-Mukarama region, signed the deal.

Loay Nazer said: “We could not have continued on our mission toward achieving another step in this program to benefit the Kingdom’s orphans without the support and assistance of the Ministry of Social Affairs.”

Nazer said the three orphanages in Makkah that will receive free medical insurance coverage are Dar-Al-Zohour, Dar-Al-Tarbeya and Al-Jamiah Al-Khayreya,

Speaking on behalf of the Makkah Al-Mukarama Region’s Social Affairs Office, Abdullah Al-Tawi expressed his happiness and appreciati­on of Bupa Arabia’s cooperatio­n in signing the agreement.

In coordinati­on with the program, Bupa Arabia has set up a helpline for orphans and plans to hold a number of workshops to increase health awareness.

Bupa Arabia has so far provided free medical insurance coverage for orphanages in Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam and in February signed two new agreements with orphanages in Riyadh, namely Al- Deyafa Villas for Disabled Children and Al-Quds Villas-Al-Deyafa Division, enrolling an additional 53 orphans into the program.

The latest deal has seen Bupa enroll almost 1,500 orphans in this innovative social responsibi­lity program, which aims to cover the total of 3,000 orphans across the kingdom.

Accordingl­y, Bupa Arabia’s hopes to enroll all orphan homes in Ha’il, Tabuk and Taif.
