- JEDDAH: ARAB NEWS

Ali Bondagjy, a senior Saudi Arabian Airlines executive, has been appointed by SkyTeam as its alliance operations manager at organization’s headquarters in the Netherlands.

Bondagjy has assumed his new position, which he won after competing with executives of other airlines who are members in the 20-member alliance.

As operations manager, Bondagjy will supervise whether the member airlines follow the alliance’s conditions and organize meetings to check quality standards.

He will also coordinate executive meetings of the member airlines’ presidents and issue reports on the alliance’s operations.

Bondagjy has thanked Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, director general of Saudia, for nominating him to the post.

“The credit goes to Saudia for helping me to attain a lot of expertise in aviation industry since he joined the airline 15 years ago,” he said.

Bondagjy said he would exert greater efforts as alliance operations manager to prove that Saudi youth are capable of showing their excellence and creativity in any position given to them.

“I will try my best to represent the Saudi youth in the best form,” he said, adding that he would follow the directives of Al-Jasser.

Bondagjy has obtained a bachelor degree in aviation management from the Florida University of Technology and a master degree in aviation business management from the University of Toulouse, France.
