Of­fi­cial: Ed­u­ca­tion is pil­lar of Vi­sion 2030


JED­DAH: There are many job op­por­tu­ni­ties in the King­dom and proper ed­u­ca­tion will en­sure em­ploy­ment and even­tu­ally na­tional de­vel­op­ment and achieve Vi­sion 2030, ed­u­ca­tion of­fi­cials par­tic­i­pat­ing in a work­shop in Yanbu said re­cently.

Mo­hammed Alo­qbi, ed­u­ca­tion di­rec­tor in Yanbu, said dur­ing the work­shop that the Ed­u­ca­tion Min­istry is one of the im­por­tant pil­lars for na­tional trans­for­ma­tion to achieve Vi­sion 2030.

“De­vel­op­ment of hu­man re­sources is the pri­mary role of the ed­u­ca­tion de­part­ment. Vi­sion 2030 obliges us to work with one sin­gle ap­proach, look­ing for­ward to 2030.

The com­ing gen­er­a­tions will even­tu­ally judge whether we have suc­ceeded in this vi­sion or not,” he said. “Those in­volved in the ed­u­ca­tion sec­tor should know the cru­cial role they play in pro­duc­ing qual­i­fied cit­i­zens,” Ab­dul­rah­man Al-Barak, un­der­sec­re­tary of ed­u­ca­tion for boys, said. He said: “Data avail­able with us raises a num­ber of ques­tions: Do we ac­tu­ally check the pos­i­tive re­sults of train­ing pro­grams? Do we ap­ply ac­cu­rate meth­ods to as­sess these pro­grams?”

Mo­ham­mad Al-Badr, as­sis­tant di­rec­tor for train­ing and schol­ar­ship de­part­ment, said that de­vel­op­ing the skills of teach­ers will re­sult in boost­ing the per­for­mance in schools.

Jawa­her Al-Shathry, gen­eral di­rec­tor of train­ing and schol­ar­ship de­part­ment, tabled a pa­per en­ti­tled, “De­vel­op­ing the pro­fes­sional per­for­mance of teach­ers in the light of na­tion­al­iz­ing train­ing at school.”
