Loss of hope for housing

Arab News - - KINGDOM -

The Ministry of Housing made amendments to the rules for the housing support system last week. This is seen with both keen and critical interest. The reality is that the amendments did not make any difference in the improvement of the programs supporting housing in meeting the additional market requirements in light of the increasing population in the Kingdom. It is true that whatever has been said about the new rules, we find elements which will have a positive impact on the housing sector in future. At the same time, depriving people over 40 years of age from this support and making a sponsor one of the conditions for availing of this facility contradict all the positive aspects.
