Journalist murders wife over divorce

DAMMAM: New details have emerged in the case of a Saudi journalist who murdered his wife, after she was granted a ruling to divorce him three weeks ago.

He went to her family’s house and waited for her to arrive. He stabbed her on the road in front of the house.

He then entered the house and stabbed the wife’s sister in front of her young children before stabbing himself.

He had marital problems with his wife for 15 years, but they were resolved by family elders. Three weeks ago, a judge finally ruled in favor of the wife to divorce her husband, and set a date for her to receive the ruling.

The ruling made the husband feel he had lost everything as his car and home were in the wife’s name who was working at a children’s hospital.

When the cops arrived, he handed them the car keys and asked them to turn off the engine.

Doctors at the hospital operated on the sister and the attacker.

The man has six children from his deceased wife, and is expected to face charges of murder in cold blood, which is not covered by any amnesty.
