Fine awarded ISEGA certificate for safety

-

Safety is the most important element with regard to our food. Consumers should always be assured that the food they are eating is totally safe. As a result, safety rules are needed for all kinds of materials in direct contact with food, such as packaging, paper towels, kitchen utensils and food containers.

Consumers look to authority figures to help them decipher the various choices and arrive at the right option for their families. Often, these authority figures are professional associations and testing institutes, whose sole purpose is certifying the compliance of these products with safe standards and regulations.

The prestigious German institute ISEGA, in a bid to help consumers decipher what is the best option for their families, has done extensive testing and analysis on different materials that have direct contact with food.

Fine Hygienic Holding is the first paper towel product in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East to get accredited by ISEGA for being a safe product when in direct contact with food.

This new achievement is considered a guarantee for the high quality of Saudi industries. In order to obtain this certificate, the product must pass ISEGA’s testing processes in chemical, physical and microbiological fields.

Ahmed Zain, head of sales and marketing at Fine Saudi Arabia, said: “Obtaining ISEGA’s certificate is one of the most important achievements that the group has earned, and it defines our quantum leap in the industry. The Saudi R&D team has made great efforts in improving and developing Fine’s products to drive the market. With this achievement, we reconfirm our leadership in this sector and our capabilities to set the global standards in the Saudi and regional markets.”

Obtaining ISEGA’s certificate mirrors the group’s aim of achieving the highest levels of quality to provide its consumers with hygiene products at affordable prices. Hyundai showcased its complete range of sedan and SUV models to Saudi motoring journalists at a special “Day with Hyundai” event at the Reem International Circuit outside Riyadh, demonstrating its commitment to quality and innovation that has established the Korean brand as the world’s fifth biggest carmaker by sales volume.

Organized by Hyundai’s three distributors in Saudi Arabia — Al Wallan Motors in Riyadh, Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Motors in Jeddah, and Almajdouie Motors in Dammam — the “Day with Hyundai” concept allowed journalists to test a wide range of Hyundai vehicles on a private track. A safari drive offered a demonstra- tion of the off-road capabilities of Hyundai’s SUV range.

“This is a unique opportunity to show the quality we offer across multiple segments, from small cars to large sedans and SUVs,” said Mike Song, Hyundai’s head of operations for the Middle East and Africa. “2017 will be an important year for Hyundai, with all- new versions of two of our most successful models arriving on global markets. Combining progressive design and innovation with strong customer appeal, each new Hyundai will be the new benchmark for the Saudi market.”

Hyundai is Saudi Arabia’s top-selling brand for sedan and SUV models, and is particularly strong in the small car segment. Plans for 2017 include new versions of the Azera large sedan, which has already gone on sale in Korea, and the fifth-generation Accent small sedan, which had its world premiere at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto last week. A new premium subcompact is also in the final stages of engineering.

The event included a briefing by Song and a presentation on the new Azera, which is expected to arrive in Gulf showrooms in the first half of 2017. Representatives from Hyundai Motor Co. headquarters in Korea and from the com- pany’s R&D Center were on hand to answer questions on the all-new Azera, as well as other Hyundai products. Hyundai’s R&D Center representative also gave guests a presentation on the new state-of-the-art technology that will be deployed across Hyundai’s portfolio of vehicles, and offered further insight on the company’s “Future Mobility” vision.

“At Hyundai, we are clearly setting ourselves apart as an industry leader, innovating in new technologies such as autonomous vehicles and driver assistance, as well as showing the road forward in massadoption of alternative and electrified drivetrains,” said Song.
