UT Lines, Al-Zafer, Butt Sports score in Jotun Paints Saudi Cup
JEDDAH: Kashif Zaman’s superb record bowling spell of 5 wickets for 1 run took Al-Zafer to a massive 102-run win over Riyadh Foods. UT Lines, Butt Sports, Pak Shaheen, Makkah Eagles, Naseem Al-Zahra and ARM United also prevailed against their opponents in the 10thweek matches of the Jotun Paints Saudi Cup cricket tournament.
Jotun Paints Saudi Arabia sponsored the tournament under the aegis of the Jeddah Cricket Association ( JCA).
UT Lines also enjoyed a big win, beating AEC by 105 runs with Bilal putting on an all-round performance scoring 69 and taking 2 wickets for 4 runs. Al-Zafer won by 102 runs despite being restricted to 152, as it bundled out Riyadh Foods for a paltry 50 with Kashif Zaman taking 5 wickets for only 1 run.
Butt Sports scraped home by 16 runs win over KAIA thanks to Saeed’s 64 runs. Pak Shaheen raced to a 7-wicket win over Eirad Travel. Shaheen had Furqan on 50 and and Usman on 49, reaching the target of 133 with ease. Makkah Eagles also scored an 8-wicket win over Awan CC behind the duo of Saad (58) and Irfan (43). Nazeer’s unbeaten 107 studded with 16 fours and 2 sixes enabled ARM United to beat Al-Burj by 33 runs. Amir Wahlah’s 64 runs and 3 for 33 and Nadeem’s unbeaten 86 runs off 34 balls laid the foundation of Naseem Al-Zahra’s eight-wicket victory over Makkah Kings.
