Jamoom, Makkah Eagles, Shaheen, UT Lines enter Jotun Paints Cup final four

JEDDAH: Jamoom Fighters, Makkah Eagles, Pak Shaheen and UT Lines entered the semifinal with comfortabl­e wins over their respective quarterfin­al opponents in the Jotun Paints Saudi Cup cricket tournament.

Jotun Saudia Company sponsored the tournament under the aegis of Jeddah Cricket Associatio­n (JCA).

Jamoom Fighters made short work of Naseem Al-Zahra, winning by 8 wickets with Qasid enjoying a superb knock of 108 off 49 balls and inclusive of 16 fours and 2 sixes.

Makkah Eagles thrashed league favorite and only unbeaten team, ARM United, by 7 wickets chasing down a big target of 208 for 3 in 16.1 overs thanks to Saad’s 81 (8 fours, 7 sixes) and Irfan’s 60 (12 fours, 1 six).

Pak Shaheen crushed KAIA by 101 runs with Faisal Khan launching his fusillade in scoring 157 off 70 balls studded with 12 fours and 8 sixes.

UT Lines fought hard before overcoming Butt Sports by 22 runs behind Bilal’s fine all-round show scoring 66 off 48 balls (9 fours) and striking crucial blows while taking 2 for 31.
