Thuraya poised for government collaborations, post KSA roadshows

Thuraya Telecommunications Company recently held meetings with senior-level officials and government system integrators in the Kingdom to present its latest product portfolio and explore possibilities for collaborative ventures. The roadshow that took place in July and included visits to Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam, was developed in line with increasing Saudi Arabia’s public sector interests. Thuraya’s national service partner, Farhan Commercial Company played a pivotal role in enabling meetings with the country’s commanding officers and decision-makers.

Each meeting maintained a live demo component: Thuraya’s suite of land voice and data products was on display and customers were allowed to conduct testing on the equipment of their interest. Many meetings were held with specialized solution integrators who work with the government to deliver customized applications for military and government vehicles. Thuraya also held discussions to determine the scope for developing specific M2M solutions such as seismic sensors for the Saudi market.
