JLo hits UAE as Dubai denizen Lindsay Lohan seeks a meet-up
JEDDAH: When Lindsay Lohan, who is seemingly living in Dubai, tried to reach out on Twitter to Jennifer Lopez, who is in the Arab emirate for a concert, the “Mean Girls” star discovered her own celebrity status was not enough to meet up with the “Jenny From the Block” singer.
“Wanted to connect with you in #DUBAI since I live here but you don’t follow me so I cannot DM you,” wrote Lohan on Twitter. Tweeps were quick to react. “Lindsay can you stop begging for attention? Like seriously girl you’re are a famous super star too. Make them be,” wrote @Lohanforfans.
@luckee7069 tweeted: “OMG, Nearly spit out my tea. I’m sure JLo is clearing her schedule as we tweet.”
Lopez is not the first celebrity that Lohan has attempted to get in touch with. Back in June, the actress, who has a nightclub named after her in Athens, took to Twitter to invite Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Beyoncé to her birthday party.
Late on Wednesday, Lopez’s partner, Alex Rodriquez posted a photo of the pair on Twitter with Japanese celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa in Dubai.
“With the great Chef Nobu Matsuhisa in Dubai!” the former Yankees baseball player captioned the photo.
The global pop sensation is all set to perform at the Dubai Autism Rocks performance on Friday. French Lebanese R&B singer Lea Makhoul has been announced as the supporting act for the concert.
