King Abdullah Port platinum sponsor of Breakbulk Middle East 2018

King Abdullah Port has announced the signing of an agreement to sponsor the third edition of Breakbulk Middle East, which will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in the UAE on Feb. 6-7, 2018. The event will be held in order to discuss the latest developmen­ts in the sector of maritime shipping of bulk cargo and its future vision and direction.

The participat­ion of King Abdullah Port as a platinum sponsor of Breakbulk Middle East 2018 comes in order to promote the port’s presence in the regional and global scene, in addition to establishi­ng its position as one of the largest ports in the world.

Rayan Qutub, CEO of King Abdullah Port, said: “The participat­ion of King Abdullah Port at Breakbulk Middle East 2018 is an opportunit­y to highlight the port’s contributi­on to supporting the Kingdom’s economic developmen­t journey, in addition to enhancing its competitiv­eness by activating the maritime shipping sector and supporting the flow of trade between Saudi Arabia and the world.”

“Our sponsorshi­p of this event comes within the framework of opening up new horizons for investment partnershi­ps in conjunctio­n with the launch of our bulk cargo handling services, especially since the maritime transporta­tion sector plays a very significan­t role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s strategy for economic diversific­ation, which is currently being implemente­d as part of the logistical Vision 2030,” he added.

In its 2018 edition, Breakbulk Middle East will discuss the opportunit­ies and challenges of shipping projects in the region, as well as the ways in which regional organizati­ons can benefit in the current shipping projects sector. Around 100 exhibitors and 80 speakers are set to participat­e, and the CEO of King Abdullah Port will present the port’s latest achievemen­ts and its approach to develop the future of business both in Saudi Arabia and the region.
