Beyonce, Paris Hilton glitter in Kuwait’s finest
US pop icon Beyonce and socialite Paris Hilton have both shown off glittering looks by Kuwait’s own king of cling Yousef AlJasmi in recent days, with both stars opting for the designer’s signature formfitting, sparkling gowns in different colors.
For her part, Beyonce graced the red carpet at the opening of director Tyler Perry’s massive new film studio in Atlanta on Saturday wearing a piece by the designer.
She was one of a bevvy of stars — including Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, Cicely Tyson, Samuel L. Jackson, Halle Berry — who helped Perry christen his new facility, a 330-acre studio that once served as a Confederate army base.
Beyonce reigned supreme in glittering gold gown by the Kuwaiti couturier. The show-stopping dress featured a high neckline and figure-hugging cut. The singer accessorized her look with diamond-encrusted drop earrings and finished it all off with a pop of orange lipstick. Last week, Hilton showcased her own take on Kuwaiti style when she showed off a dazzling silver gown by Al-Jasmi in a campaign for her latest fragrance, “Electrify.” “So excited to announce the launch of my 25th fragrance Electrify! I made this new fragrance for anyone who wants to make a statement and isn’t afraid to show their confidence, sensuality and captivating personality,” she captioned a post in which she is seen wearing one of Al-Jasmi’s distinctive high-necked, glittering gowns.
In late September, US singer Nicole Scherzinger was spotted on “Australia’s Got Talent” wearing a gown by Hollywood’s new favorite designer Al-Jasmi.
She chose a fitted glittering gown in a summery shade of yellow, complete with a halter-neck top and a thigh high slit.
She paired the daring look with orange-hued lipstick — which seems to be a red carpet trend at the moment — side swept hair and added a number of gold rings for good measure.
These leading ladies aren’t the only celebrities to be spotted in an Al-Jasmi creation in recent days, however.
Canadian superstar Celine Dion teased the cover of her soon-to-be released album “Courage” — and she just happens to be wearing a dazzling design by Al-Jasmi in the photo. Dion even performed in a similar outfit by the designer — a copper toned, form-fitting number with a skirt that curves away to only cover one leg.
From Beyonce to the Kardashians, is there anyone who hasn’t fallen in love with Kuwait’s new fashion icon?
