Prince Charles

-

Social media users expressed their concerns on Thursday after sources at Buckingham Palace, home of the British royal family, confirmed that Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and heir to the UK throne, has tested positive for coronavirus.

@pomme55754383 said: “Get better soon Prince Charles the world need you. You have been doing so much for farmer and help building community.” @BasmatiTikka tweeted: “God Bless Queen Elizabeth ll. St. Johns Cathedral (Jacksonville, Florida) prays that

God heals His Royal Majesty

Prince Charles (The next King of England) & protects Her Royal

Majesty Queen Camilla.” @paulsarmstrong said: “Praying for you ... May Allah grant HRH Prince Charles good health and grant you a swift recovery from the coronavirus. Ameen.” On Wednesday, the prince’s Clarence House office said in a statement that

Charles, the Prince of Wales, is showing mild symptoms of the disease but is “otherwise in good health.” His wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, was also tested but does not have the virus. Both are now self-isolating at their Birkhall residence in Scotland, in accordance with government advice.

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” his office said.

According to CNN, the prince started showing symptoms last weekend. He was tested on Monday and received the results on Tuesday. The prince reportedly last met with his mother on March 12, which means the queen could have been exposed to the virus, but a spokesperson from Buckingham Palace said Wednesday that the queen, 93, and her husband Prince Philip, 98, are in a good health and self-isolating in Windsor Castle.
