Hugh Jackman has written a touching tribute to his wife Deborra-Lee Furness on their 25th wedding anniversary.

To mark the special occasion, the 52-year-old actor shared on Instagram a series of five photos of the couple from their wedding day in 1996 with a heartfelt caption to his 65-year-old wife. “Being married to you Deb is as natural as breathing,” wrote “The Greatest Showman” star in the caption. “From nearly the moment we met . . . I knew our destiny was to be together. In our 25 years — our love has only grown deeper. The fun, excitement and adventure more exhilarating; the learning even greater.” “I’m forever grateful to share our love, our life — and, our family together,” he continued. “We’ve only just begun. Deb, I love you with all my heart!” Jackman and Furness first met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series “Corelli.” Their love blossomed within two weeks, and four months later Jackman proposed to Furness.

The couple have strict rules in place to ensure their relationship lasts. “Deb was in the business before me and made some rules,” Jackman told the US Today show in 2018.

He said: “We are not going to spend more than two weeks apart, and we are not going to work at the same time if we don’t have to financially. So, one of us is always there to support the other. And we have maintained that for — well, next month is 22 years.”

After struggles with miscarriages and failing to have their own biological child, the couple decided to adopt. Their two adopted children are 21-year-old son, Oscar Maximilian, and 16-year-old daughter, Ava Eliot.

“I don’t think of them as adopted — they’re our children. We feel things happened the way they are meant to. Obviously, biologically wasn’t the way we were meant to have children,” Jackman told the Herald Sun of his family unit.
